What a CS2 upgrade and a CS2 upgrader are
A CS2 upgrade is trading one or more Counter-Strike 2 skins for a more expensive item with a chance shown up front. The chance equals the value of your items divided by the value of the target, minus the service fee.
An upgrader is the online service where that upgrade happens: you sign in through Steam, pick a skin from your inventory and the item you want, and the upgrader calculates the chance and, on success, sends the target to your inventory. UPGRADER is such an upgrader for Counter-Strike 2.
How a CS2 item upgrade works in UPGRADER

Authorization goes through Valve's official Steam OpenID: you enter your login and password only on steamcommunity.com; the upgrader receives just your SteamID and public inventory.

One formula for everyone:
chance = your value ÷ target value × (1 − fee). The number is visible before you click and does not change afterwards. -
4. Upgrade result and withdrawal
On success the item is sent to your account via Steam Trade Offer immediately; on failure the item you put in stays with the service.

How does UPGRADER calculate the upgrade chance?
Chance = value of your items ÷ value of the target × (1 − fee). Prices come from the Steam Community Market and update automatically. The chance is shown before you confirm and does not change after you click.
How fast are items withdrawn after an upgrade?
The won item is sent via Steam Trade Offer right after the upgrade. Delivery time depends on Steam: with Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator active, the trade arrives within minutes; if the authenticator was enabled less than 7 days ago, Steam holds the trade.
Which Counter-Strike 2 items can be upgraded?
Any tradable CS2 item from your Steam inventory: weapon skins (for example AK-47 | Redline, AWP | Asiimov), knives (Karambit, Butterfly Knife), gloves, stickers, cases and agents. Items under a trade hold become available for upgrade once the hold ends.
